      Account Executive Interview

      27 Jan 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Houston, TX
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at ELM Global (Houston, TX) in Jan 2017

      Interview

Really horrible. If you are educated and especially female, do not fall into this scam. If you google 'ELM scam' - it is shown that ELM global was incorporated in a scam in 2012 in Houston. Also, when I declined the job, after a horrible second interview experience that left me crying, the 'account executive'- who expressed to be about just got his green card, got very upset with me. I left the interview in tears and have never felt more uncomfortable in my life. I don't know what this company wanted from me, but it was nothing short of illegal.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at ELM Global (Houston, TX) in Aug 2017

      Interview

i applied for the manager in training position. First Interview: there were a couple of candidates in the office, some were there for another company. my interview time was at 2pm, i waited about 30 minutes before being called inside. the interviewer asked a couple of questions and told me a bit about the company and how they wanted to expand more. she told me they had an administrative position and said they'd let me know, if not they'd want to keep going through with the manager in training but id start out as an account executive. the interview didn't last long, maybe like 5-10 minutes. i got a call for a 2nd interview that same day. 2nd interview: my interview was at 10am. I had to wait again to be called. the man took another candidate and I to a different meeting room in a lower floor. he asked what position we were looking for and told us more about the company. i asked him about pay and he said its all commission based and didn't elaborate further. he mentioned he wanted to train people to become managers because they plan on opening more offices within the next 4-5 months. the other candidate that interviewed with me seemed very under qualified, hadn't even finished college yet. I told them that if hired I wouldn't be able to start until a week later and the same day I received an email stating my orientation was the very next day, so i declined my offer.
