I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at EY (Kuala Lumpur) in Mar 2009
Interview
I have submit my application to a Manager I know in the department I wanted to join and he in turn send in my resume to the Partner.
Your chances of employment will be higher if the Partner is interested in recruiting you as he will communicate this to the Human Resource department.
There are usually 2 rounds of interview with the first one with the HR followed by the Partner / Directors of the department. Depending on the departments you are joining, it may or may not include any assessment / test.

Question 1
Nothing in specific but Partners / HR personnel will be more keen to know that your intention of joining the firm is not purely monetary driven and you plan to stay for long term.
The process was relatively straightforward and moved quickly (total time was less than 2 weeks). It consisted of:
(1) Online application - submitting CV, cover letter etc. via the career portal
(2) Online assessment - takes about 1 hour, some quantitative questions, questions about behaviours etc.
(3) Phone call with recruiter
(4) In-person interview - less "formal", more conversational

Question 1
Tell me about yourself
*tip: be prepared with questions to ask the interviewer
Overall good experience. 2 rounds of interview. Got to know results in 1 day. Smooth process. Interview was scheduled online. Three interviewers were present. Covered technical questions and skills i know.
the application process is starting from looking in the LinkedIn. After that, they refer to the EY website. From this you can see the requirement for the job applicant. Depends on the role whether the company expect quite experience on organization and academic. The most important they put a highlight is being active on organization which they know how social you are.
