I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Eastman (Kingsport, TN) in Aug 2013
Interview
I was interviewed over the phone by 2 people. They asked about my background, current job, why I had applied for this position. Then they told me a lot about the role. They asked me 1 technical question in the phone interview. The total phone interview was 30-45 minutes.
I was scheduled for an on-site interview about 1 week later. I met with 6 different people, mostly asking about my background. It was almost as much of a sales presentation of the company as an interview. I'm not sure I was asked a single technical question; I think it was more to see if I was a fit for the team.

There were two interviews with two different groups of interviewers. Each interview lasted around 45 minutes and they were one right after the other. The interviews were similar and asked about previous experience from other employers or projects.

The standard fairly involved process for bigger companies. You have a couple of phone screening calls with hr recruiters, a phone s greening with the plant hr person, a phone interview with the hiring manager, and then an onsite interview with multiple panels comprised of personnel from various level of the company. There may have been some is or personality tests also. There seems to be a communication disconnect between the hiring managers the plant he personnel and the corporate recruiters. You invest a bunch of time in the process and never hear from anyone again.
