I was contacted within a week of submitting my application for a 30-minute phone interview. The interview was fairly standard with most questions related to knowledge or education policy and public education financing. Following the interview, a writing sample was requested. A few days after I submitted my writing sample, I received an email with a research assignment. The hiring manager said the assignment should take about 3.5 hours to complete and gave me a week to submit my response. After confirming receipt of my assignment, I was informed I would hear back regarding my candidacy within a week. I followed up a week and a half later but never received a reply.
