I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Epic Dental (Salt Lake City, UT) in Dec 2021
Interview
Indeed says they request I apply. They then contact me by phone after I apply. They request an in person interview for a first interview; I agree. I then switch to a phone interview same day since it was a first interview and I didn't think I was a perfect fit. The exec assistant says no biggie. The interview went fine, it was clear that I wasn't a perfect match, but somewhat viable. I pressed the interviewer if I was someone that should expect a return call or if I should look elsewhere. She said she was on the fence. I agreed, gave another small pitch for myself of why I was worth their time, then asked again. Suddenly; I get an earful of how I was clearly too busy with my current work to commit to an appointment in person and that they were looking for someone that wasn't so 'busy'. I keep my professional cool, and insist I can meet again any time they wish if they wanted to. She then snapped back that I was clearly too busy to keep any commitments. Interviewer was fine for 30 minutes up until that point. I was astonished at how fast this individual went to attacking me. I won that round by keeping the cooler head...but what ever happened to simply saying "we have lots of candidates to interview, you'll hear back if we'd like to speak again"?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Epic Dental
Interview
Filled out a Google form sworn standard questions and got a call from an assistant for an in person interview. The in person interview was 20 minutes of the interviewer telling me why my skills didn’t fit the position. She asked what attracted me to Epic Dental and I outlined their commitment to customer service. Apparently, this was not what they were looking for. My answer was “too customer focused for the operations position.” Whatever that means. They also had me fill out some silly personality test during my interview. The interviewer also monitored her emails and phone while I answered questions. Worst interview ever. Glad I dodged that bullet.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Epic Dental (Salt Lake City, UT) in Mar 2018
Interview
It started with the job ad asking me to fill out a Google form with questions (instead of submitting a resume or application). The questions were standard, except for "tell me your process for doing dishes".
A month after filling out the form, I received a call from Monica asking me to come for an interview the next day. I arrived at the interview and was greeted by a very nice lady at the front desk, Jennifer, who then took me upstairs to Monica. The office was very laid back, with an open floor plan, and they were all in jeans. Monica and I spoke in a conference room for five or ten minutes, and then she brought in the founder, Donald (who was in jeans and a Sweatshirt). The rest of the interview lasted 45 minutes or so, with more discussion than rapid fire questions, and information being passed back and forth, even discussing salary and benefits. They ended the interview stating I was "absolutely a finalist", and I would hear from them after they finished the first round of interviews that week. As I was leaving, Donald offered me a handful of one of their products, which I accepted gratefully. Getting in my vehicle, a man dressed very professionally and looking a little nervous was walking in, I'm guessing he was the next interview.
It is now the middle of the following week, and I've heard nothing from the company, unfortunately. I made one call to them today, leaving a message asking for an update or a new time line for the next step, but no response.
Overall, the interview experience was very pleasant, even enjoyable. I would do it again, even knowing the outcome.
