Great company and people, not so good recruiting team.
My process consisted of 7 interviews in 3 rounds. First recruiter, the hiring manager and the 5 loop like interviews, and it took 3 months in total, with long gaps between rounds where recruiter was ghosting me, not replying my emails, not answering my questions, etc. also let’s say that they don’t prepare you in any form or capacity to interview. Having interview with plenty of tech companies in the past (both FAANG and not) this was definitely the worst, less communicative, more shady, I’ve had.
Pretty much weeks of no response followed by a “We loved talking to you so you moved to next step / want to make you an offer” reading other reviews, it seems this is the norm, which is extremely ironic as everyone i interviewed was was really nice and communicative.
You’d think I had a bad recruiter but I had the chance to talk to a few coordinators also through my journey and all were the same. This solely made me decline their offer, which wasn’t the best either.
I know things might move slow, but good recruiters touch base with you regardless just to tell you they there is no update. Etsy needs to up their game on this side if they want to attract good talent.
