I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at European Plant Science Organisation (Brussels)
Interview
The application was a CV, cover letter, salary expectation, written task and profile photo emailed to the organisation. A further written task for the application was then requested and sent via email. Only shortlisted applicants were responded to with invites to interview.
The interview was a 1:1 with the CEO who asked only one main interview question and the Exec Assistant came in at the end to ask one question. The interview table had placed on it for the interviewee to read before and refer to during the interview the job description task and priority breakdown, personal specification and latest organisation newsletter (first page editorial was featured article on the SDGs). The interviewer did not take any notes or recording of the interview. Only the successful interview candidate was informed of the interview outcome, the others were not notified. Interview feedback was not available for candidates.
Overall the whole process was not particularly professional, but the interview was easy-going and the interviewer gave a very good sales pitch for the organisation and role during the interview, particularly in relation to policy advocacy, promoting the SDGs, high profile stakeholder meetings and contributing innovative ideas for conferences and running communications workshops.
