      Interview

After applying, I received an email within the week. I went through two rounds of zoom interviews. First with a recruiter, next with a creative director. These were both fairly simple, and were actually quite casual in vibe.

      Question 1

They asked me if I had experience with social media advertising.

I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Everyday Dose (Austin, TX)

      Interview

I interviewed with this company and left with more questions than answers. As I was moving forward to the next round, I decided to dig and find some answers to my questions about how this company functions. First off, all the other negative reviews on glassdoor are accurate. The core team presents an idea that you must have "thick skin" and be ok with little to no direction on your own role. I was basically told that my role had not even been defined yet, and probably wouldn't be by the time I started and that they were looking for someone who was ok with that. They wanted to move SO fast and it feels like they are just looking for warm bodies to get in there and do the heavy lifting of the work with their main incentives being pay perks, at the expense of your sanity. But the main reason I decided to leave a review about my interview experience is to give a warning about the company culture. Obviously the working side of this team gives enough red flags to run for the hills, but its the personal, team culture side I found myself curious about... Knowing this role would be in office in Austin, TX, I did some research into the core team through socials. And what I found was beyond anything I have ever seen in a company culture. I won't go into details, but ya, do your own digging on instagram, especially the president of the company. There seems to be absolutely no boundaries with the team culture, how they cohabitate and live and interact with one another... I will say that a warning I feel should be given is that many of the team lives together in a house and that house is the same one they office out of. There seems to be potentially dating couples within coworkers and a very open dynamic relationally... do with that what you will. Perhaps their team structure will change as they hire more people and the core team is not the main bulk of their workforce, but if any of those things are enough for you have a pause about taking a role with them, again, just do your research. If that stuff doesn't bother you, have at it. But for me, it was an immediate no go.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

I was asked how I am able to work in a very high demand, fast paced environment and how I am able to handle criticism and "blunt feedback".

      Interview

I had two interviews. Both were only about 30 minutes. The first one was discussing basic things about the role, what my experience is, etc. The second was with the creative lead and had more questions specific about the job environment and creative processes they go through at the company.
