      I interviewed at Exalate

      Interview

Had two video calls. I think the process was to last about 4-5 rounds. The first was with the in house recruitment and the second with CGO, because the HoM was on leave I think. I have to admit it felt like a case of one hand not knowing what the other hand is doing. The departments seem misaligned. In the HR interview I was asked if I have experience in Google Tag Manager. And I clearly said I do but the implementation is done by the developers. However, in the interview this was listed as a dealbreaker as they do not have developers working on marketing (which to me is a marketing red flag). Anyway, when I rechecked the job description GTM was not a requirement, so management aren’t communicating effectively with HR by the looks of it. This kind of practice and inaccurate job description is not acceptable. I wasted yet another 2 video calls due to people not fully thinking through the whole interview process and requirements. I can give a lot of hard work and value to such a company but they are missing out on good quality candidates through their own mis-organisation.
