The initial interview was somewhat standard but more casual than most. It is unusual for a company to directly ask for the age of a candidate. After the initial interview the interviewer said that they wanted to have a 15-minute practice session set up for the next week.
They said that they would send me the information in the next day or two. about two days later, in the evening, they sent the necessary files for the presentation. I had about two days to prepare.
When the practice session started, it was over a Google video conference program. Apparently, they were in a garage with a bad internet connection. I did my best, but the bad internet connection made it impossible to proceed.
They asked to try again another day and promised to call me the next day. It has now been more than a week without so much as a text. It felt really unprofessional. I don’t’ expect to hear back from them, and I don’t know if I would want to work with them if they eventually did get back to me.
