I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at First Response Ambulance (Chicago, IL) in Aug 2012
Interview
I finally received my test scores and license from IDPH and immediately started contacting private ambo companies here in Chicagoland. I navigated a slew of websites and theirs was quite easy to find employment info. Fill out the form on the site and click submit.
It gives you a verification that you form has been accepted. I received a call the next day (Friday) from the Operations Manager, who has been super helpful and a great person with whom I have interacted.
As luck would have it she was able to get me an interview on Tuesday (super quick turn around).
We had a very pleasant chat and she allowed time for questions after the interview.
Got the call two days later(Thursday) saying they would like to offer me a position on the provision that I passed the Loyola EMS test.
She scheduled my test for me and even gave me a study guide to review.
As of right now, I am trying to be patient while waiting for my test date.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Only real "interview question" that was asked was: "Why did you want to become an EMT?"
other than that we were just getting a feel for each other and conversing.
