The worst candidate experience, ever.
Their in-person interview scheduling was chaotic, with multiple reschedulings.
After a phone screen, was supposed to talk to 5 or 6 folks onsite. The couple of guys I talked to seemed to have a chip on their shoulder and were out to prove how much they know about a certain domain than poor old me could possibly know. Well, I didnt realize that they were giving their interview and not the other way around. Industry validated technical solutions that I have worked with in my prior experience - these were dismissed casually. Its as if they are working on something so special that others cannot even fathom the scale or complexity of it ... well, having worked at tech giants that handle much bigger problems of scale, throughput and latency, trust me that your problems are not unique. And try and understand a different approach to solving a problem rather than having an echo chamber.
After 2 rounds, the recruiter appeared and said that I "have to leave". Apparently there was a technical level "mismatch". I had just brought a cup of coffee after the second interview. I smiled and pointed at my full cup - I was told to keep that cup down at that very instant and accompany him out right away. That recruiter ensured that I submitted my visitor badge downstairs and escorted me out of their main gate, till the road - from deep in the office upstairs to the road in less than a minute. Never had such a humiliating experience in my life before this.
