Was invited for an interview to Vienna. The interview was done by two Senior Consultants, both fairly friendly. First half of the interview consisted of fit questions, why I wanted to do consulting, why I wanted to go to Austria (I'm originally German) and what I think my job would look like. Was also asked about the topic of my graduate Thesis and how I conducted the research. For the technical 'case' I was simply given the income statement and balance sheet of a medium sized Austrian company and was asked to analyze any trends. Initially I had applied for the role of an M&A consultant, however it turned out that they were looking for a more general consultant. If I had succeeded in the first round I would have been invited a second round with one of the Partners of the firm.
