At one point, I was even asked when I would be able to start if I were selected, which naturally gave me a sense of hope that things were moving in a good direction. Based on the tone of the discussion, I felt that my profile matched what they were looking for. However, despite the encouraging signals and the positive impression I had during the interview, I ultimately did not receive any offer.
