I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Gartner (Barcelona) in Nov 2018
Interview
You can feel since the very beginning that you are interviewing for Gartner!
The process is one of the smoothest I have ever experienced so far and all the people, from recruiters to managers, were extremely competent and professional.
There are 4 steps:
1st: Screening - They need to understand if there is a fit with the role you are interviewing for.
2nd: Phone Interview - Situational Based questions - Gartner Value Proposition - Role Play.
3rd: Video Interview - Same format as the 2nd step, just longer and more difficult, they will dive deeper in your experience and try to uncover as much as possible about your skills.
4th: Onsite Interview - Barcelona Office, Around 2h panel with Managers + Recruiter.
I had the pleasure to be guided by Marta Pinyol throughout the hiring process.
She played a key role on my success by providing all the information/feedback I needed, moreover she was is in constant follow up to make sure I could have been successful until the last step.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Situational based questions.
Why Gartner.
Why Sales.
They have reached out to me for a job every year and I have interviewed with them 2 times and have never made it past the 1st interview. Confused why a recruiter reaches out to me anymore?
Intensive - multiple rounds led by a recruiter. Expect 2 rounds of role play, around 4 rounds total. 2 with a recruiter, one with a lead skills expert and another panel with VPs and hiring managers.
Application
I interviewed at Gartner (London, England)
Interview
It was long and rigorous, often feeling extremely high pressure, with not a lot of constructive criticism. There are 5 rounds and each with a role-play. It's safe to say this is not an easy interview process. I'm not sure how they do their prospecting, but I was apparently a 'great fit' for the role - didn't show that enthusiasm during our calls.
