The interview process at Gartner is structured and thorough, typically starting with a phone screening by a recruiter to assess basic qualifications. This is followed by interviews with the hiring manager and possibly a panel of team members, focusing on your experience, problem-solving skills, and cultural fit. For some roles, you may be required to present a case study or give a presentation to demonstrate analytical and communication skills. Finally, if successful, you’ll receive an offer, followed by a background check.
Intensive - multiple rounds led by a recruiter. Expect 2 rounds of role play, around 4 rounds total. 2 with a recruiter, one with a lead skills expert and another panel with VPs and hiring managers.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Gartner in May 2026
Interview
30 minute phone call with recruiter. Next is 1 hour with recruiter about your background, behavioral questions. Then 1 hour with LSA with questions on your background and a role play.
HR is very accommodating and helpful through the whole process. It can be a little confusing how they structure and and label their position but easily cleared up when talking in first rounds. They are professional and get back quickly. Overall a very positive experience.
