I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at GitLab (Sat home) in Jul 2018
Interview
Received an email many weeks after I applied inviting me to a call. After arranging it, I turned up on time but recruiter was late to the call (to be fair they had a reason: apparently the previous candidate had overrun due to personal reasons) but perhaps don't cram so many calls in at close quarters?)
Some days later received an email saying I wasn't as good a match in terms of technical ability as other candidates. GitLab could have established that before wasting my time on a non-tech basic screening call, surely?

General screening questions. Was only a first stage so no tech.
