I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Glassdoor (Mill Valley, CA) in Apr 2018
Interview
The steps were: a recruiter phone screen, interviews with the chief economist and communications director, and an onsite. I interviewed across 7 weeks, which felt/is unusually slow. But at every stage someone from Glassdoor reached out so that I knew what to expect, and how to prepare--it always felt that they wanted me to interview well. The onsite was two interviews with the research and communications teams, a presentation, and a 1-on-1 with a data scientist. Interviews with econ and with communications were fun, thought-provoking, and informative. The data science interview was strange and surprising for a couple reasons: (1) the interviewer seemed less prepped (sat diagonally from me, fumbled when finding my resume on computer at the start, and skipped time for my intro); (2) several Yes/No questions; (3) asked brain teaser type questions, which earlier interviewers had admitted don't reflect a candidate's ability to do job well; (4) generally, felt more like putting me on the spot as opposed to learning what I know about python/r/economics research. But in all, team was competent, transparent, and encouraging. Kudos.

Question 1
How can Glassdoor use economic research to be more competitive, and to make more of an impact on job match?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Glassdoor in Jul 2021
Interview
I was contacted by Glassdoor HR. Call with HR manager couple of days after, followed by 30 minutes interview with senior economist and, after that, a 3 hours panel interview with different members of the team.
The process was managed extremely smoothly and professionally managed. Very interesting discussion, although it seems the role was more on the marketing side of things.
