Enjoyable interview experience. The first round was in person, they asked interesting questions, and were focused on personal motivations and your fit with culture of firm. I talked about my legal experience and interest in family law.
30 minute online interview with a partner and legal practice manager. They asked about the procedures involved in domestic abuse cases, and my motivations for applying for the role. They said that all paralegals usually train with the company.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Goodman Ray (London, England) in Jan 2025
Interview
The interview process was incredibly negative. The interview itself was overly (and unnecessarily) intimidating. No chance to give any information about myself and what I could offer. One of the people interviewing screwed her face up at one of my answers and was rude when I gave an answer she didn’t think was the right one. Interviews are always nerve wracking and it should be a conversation between the firm and candidate and there is no reason for any interview to be this overly negative and rude. The interview last 14 minutes which is disappointing given the time and effort into attending an interview.
