The position was to be held in Lima, Peru, to run the company held by a Spaniard firm. The process itself started with a first meeting with the company Chairman, driven by a common friend of us, considering that the three of us were at that moment in Lima. Two weeks later I was asked to flight to Madrid to start the formal process.
There were two personal interviews, with Chairman and Board of Directors, then psychological and math online tests. After a couple of weeks, a Skype call from HR Director, summarizing the position and challenges, along with the offer package and acceptance conditions.
Then after 4-5 days of analysis and acceptance, required to fill out a number of forms and predefined templates, including NDA, executive insurance policy, visa forms, etc.
