The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Hargreaves Lansdown Technology in Jul 2021
Interview
One over the phone interview which went well. Second was a competence test. I’ll admit I thought of a few one the answers straight after the interview but thought it went well. Main interviewer kept camera off which doesn’t really make you feel you are being interviewed in a 2 way process. However later told I didn’t quite meet the competency level (nerves mainly I suspect). Interviewer didn’t really interview me and I felt they never took into human factors like enthusiasm and self development skills. Not much in the way of job description given. If this had happened then interviewer is more likely to see aptitude and attitude for the position. Notice the job is still open many weeks later. Wondering how many get missed with this style? Unlikely I would to have wanted to go to a third interview if selection continued as they didn’t really seem interested in getting to know the candidate.
