I interviewed through a recruiter at Revolution Technologies. The first step was an introductory call with the recruiter to confirm that the role aligned with what I was looking for (remote, healthtech/mission-driven, reasonable salary — the role listed £75k–£85k) and matched my experience (iOS development).
Next, my resume was shared with the company’s CTO for review. I was then asked to complete a written questionnaire with several behavior-style questions (for example, how I handle code review and debugging). The questionnaire was 5 pages long with a total of 8 questions, each with a 300-word limit.
Following this, I had a 30-minute Zoom interview with the CTO, Tim Closs.
The next stage was a take-home technical assignment. They asked for a simple iOS app that would read a JSON file and display the data. The instructions estimated 4–6 hours of work and required implementing best practices and two separate UI implementations (both SwiftUI and UIKit).
After submitting the assignment, I received written feedback indicating that the process would not move forward.
