Heathrow seem to pride themselves on a effortless application process and they are true to that , the initial application doesn't require hundreds of words of answers to competency questions like most graduate schemes.
However after passing the application stage you must do a video interview which is described more or less as if the questions asked will be centres around you I.e. similar to competency questions expected elsewhere.
Be prepared : the questions are far more vigorous than simply 'explain a time you showed determination etc etc ' .. Instead they are situational tests that are very challenging and specific to particular aspects of the business e.g.
- you are asked to do a project looking at which customers spend more money in different parts of the airport.
What data should you get?
What time of analysis should you do?
What conclusions could you possibly draw?
How will this benefit strategy in retail?
Hard questions but perfectly answerable if given pre warning about what kind of stuff might come up or time to prepare.
