      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Hexure (Colorado Springs, CO)

      Interview

I was referred to this company by an internal employee. I had a phone interview with the hiring manager and at the conclusion, I was told: "We are definitely interested in you and are moving forward with an in-person interview with 4 of our directors." A month later, an in-person interview was scheduled for the following week. 2 days before the interview, I got a voice message stating that the interview had been canceled because they found the perfect candidate. I was disappointed in not getting the interview, but also in the unprofessional way in which this interview process was handled.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Unknown, as I was unable to complete the interview. I have been told that they are very concerned about how you handle the prioritization of workload.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Hexure (Colorado Springs, CO)

      Interview

I went through a recruiter. I was able to get an interview to a company that is well thought of and has excellent benefits. My phone screen was 45 minutes. My 1st interview as 2 hours. My second interview was 2 hours. I met with some of the same people the second interview and one of the interviewers didn't even remember me ( I had met him 3-4 weeks prior.) They scoured my resume and drilled in to it (not a bad thing)..... The benefits are great and the products are solid. But, I have heard they are tough on their PM's (chew them up and spit them out). I am thankful for the experience as it has helped better prepare me for future opportunities. Truly. (If you need experience, this would be your BEST bet, no kidding. Bootcamp interview.) But after the entire process, and not getting an offer after almost 5 hours of interviewing, there was something "off" about the company and it definitely rubbed me the wrong way. I don't mind an organization being thorough, because they should be, but the interviews were, at points, flat out uncomfortable. If you go for one, review the job description thoroughly, take detailed notes from your recruiter on what to expect, and make sure you know your own resume backwards and forwards as well as how each and every detail relates to the position you are interviewing for. If you are prepare yourself like you are about to go before a firing squad - you should do great. Oh, the CEO is FAB, laid back - great convo's - but do yourself a favor and don't relax. Not at all - the second team is coming and they aren't there to make you feel at home. Last thing? It's exhausting.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

"Where is the fire?" and "What would you do if your project was over budget?" (Fire? Like my passion? My intensity? What does that mean, exactly?) And, if my project is over budget - am I on vacation? Clearly I am not doing my job - how much over budget? Whose fault is it? What protocols do you have in place that assist in keep the project within budget? Did I inherit a project that was poorly managed - because my projects don't go over budget.
