I applied online. I interviewed at Hunt Slonem Studio (New York, NY) in Jan 2022
Interview
Informal but quick and informative. Very standard, meeting with the artist and the CEO who ask for a detailed account of your experience and how it is applicable to the job.

Interview
I was contacted shortly after applying for a phone interview and then was asked to come to the studio the following day for an in person interview. After that, they offered me a trial period which I declined.

Interview
I was contacted almost immediately after applying. Had a preliminary phone interview with a current assistant and then was asked to go into the studio about an hour later for a in person interview with the artists. The in person interview as an absolute mess. The artist has another meeting going on at the same time and was completely unorganized. He started putting me to work while I was there, asking me to answer phones and help move artworks. The job description was all over the place, it was completely unclear what I would actually be doing, what my hours would be, and what the pay was. I was offered a paid trial day and turned it down.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The artist was more concerned about who I knew in terms of collectors and press and kept pushing to know more about my network. This was probably the only coherent question I was asked the entire time.
