Pretty easy interview, done virtually. It was a panel interview with 3 managers, one of which was added at the last minute. It was a pretty good meeting, folks were pleasant but it became apparent what they were looking for. Nowhere in the job description did it mentioned that they are looking for someone with "direct report" experience (ie. being a person manager). Felt like this omission wasted my time and their time. Another thing that irked me was that IBM did not both to even tell me that I would no longer be considered. They are a tech company..how can they not figure out a way of notifying a candidate with an automated email? Feels like a serious lack of professional courtesy on their end.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at IBM (San Jose, CA) in May 2022
Interview
I interviewed 3 years back for QA management position. I had interview with a manager first which went through smooth. Manager went through the team structure expectations and helps in understanding . Then I had interview with other team members. All team members were very good. I had more like discussion and more friendly interview . overall I enjoyed the interview with Watson orders team
