I applied online. I interviewed at IBM in Aug 2023
Interview
Application submitted online, and very soon got OA invitation, giving a few days to complete. What's interesting is right at the moment when I opened the OA website (Hackerrank), I got an email from IBM, politely rejecting my application (with official reasons). Still, I took the OA, just seeing how hard it would be. There were only 2 questions, 1 coding, and 1 front-end. Both super easy and could be finished within the given time. And that's the end of it.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1 coding and 1 front-end. Coding is about array, easy once understand the long-described question. Front-end is about styling.
The interview process was easy, applied for role and received the assessment link, where i have solve three DSA questions and some aptitude, you have to solve these questions in 90 minutes.
I applied online. I interviewed at IBM in Mar 2026
Interview
-Applied Directly (Just Apply as soon as the opening comes)
- Got link for online assessment Coding Rounds including 2 Data Structure and Algorithms (DSA) questions of Easy to medium type
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at IBM (Hyderābād) in Oct 2025
Interview
It wasn’t an interview; it was an assignment consisting of two coding questions.
First Question:
It was similar to LeetCode Problem 56 (Merge Intervals). The input was an array of tuples, where each tuple contained a processId and the time required to run that process. The task was to determine which processId had the maximum total running time.
Second Question:
The task was to count the maximum number of consecutive set bits (i.e., consecutive 1s) in a number.
I don’t have much experience with bit manipulation, so this one was a bit challenging for me.
I solved both questions in about 40 minutes. However, I later found out that the role was intended for experienced candidates. Since I’m a recent graduate, I didn’t make it to the next round.
