I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at IKEA (Houston, TX) in Jan 2022
Interview
The overall process was great. Recruiter call, hiring manager interview and on-site tour and grandparent interview. They keep you well informed during the process and it went quick. Recruiter was awesome and answered all of my questions at anytime.

Question 1
They really don’t look at your credentials and background. They want to make sure you have a good attitude and are the correct fit for the IKEA culture.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at IKEA (Brooklyn, NY) in Sept 2024
Interview
The application process was straightforward. After submitting my application, I received a response from the recruiter about a month later. Within the same week, I had an interview with the hiring manager that lasted one hour. Her energy and talent were incredibly impressive, and she truly seemed like a standout individual.
She scheduled a subsequent interview with her supervisor, whom she referred to as "grandparent." Unfortunately, this interview contrasted sharply with the first. He appeared disinterested, provided abrupt answers, and concluded the interview after only 20 minutes, despite it being scheduled for an hour. The interview included standard HR questions, such as "Where do you see yourself in five years?"
A few days later, I received a rejection. Overall, the experience left me questioning the company's commitment to its stated values, given the mixed signals received during the interview process.

Question 1
A lot of behavioral questions are based on IKEA's values. For example, in the most difficult project, tell me about a time when you took a risk, how to manage a team or tell me about a time you dealt with a difficult customer.
