The interview lasted 1.5 hours in person following the screening, and while it went well, it was disappointing that the primary interviewer responsible for hiring was not present. Instead, someone from a different department conducted the interview, took notes on an iPad, and promised to provide feedback to the main interviewer. Two days after the interview, I received a message stating that they were no longer hiring for the role due to store needs. Then, a week later, I received another email saying I was not selected because they had hired someone else. Overall, it was a confusing and frustrating experience, especially coming from IKEA. The recruiters and interviewers seemed disorganized and unclear throughout the process, which I hadn’t expected.
