I was interviewing for one of the roles in the marketing department.
In the first round, I had an interview with one of the board members who was mainly interested in my past experiences, skills, and my general outlook on marketing.
In the second round, I was interviewed by their HR person and most of the questions were very role specific, which was OK.
However, I was very unpleasantly surprised by her question if would be able to market make-up products given the fact that I don't wear much of it - even though in the past I had worked on make-up advertising accounts for over 2 years, and she was well aware of that fact.
When I reminded her about those past experiences, she mentioned that I'm also not wearing any nailpolish.
In my opinion, that place didn't seem to have very good vibe, and didn't feel like a very pleasant work environment. Maybe it would have felt different if I had worn more make-up ;)
