Interview
Spoke to a recruiter initially who sounded very interested, and explained to me that the team would be doubling in size up to 7 over the next few months and that he'd love to setup some more in depth interviews. He also told me the Defence work they do has all been paid for up-front so budgets aren't an issue, but he would have to move some Q2 headcount to Q1 before we proceed. I follow up 2 weeks later to simply be told they're no longer hiring for the role due to "internal reprioritisations", and it turns out they have just wasted my time.
