I was invited for a virtual assessment centre day with IPSOS Mori after applying. This took 4 hours and was with a telephone trainer with a group of 10. The first hour or so consisted of an intro into the company, the job and market research, with regular stops for any questions the group had. This was all done over teams and you don’t actually need your camera on during the meeting which was surprisingly nice. Following this we had a short break
Following this break, another presentation was given about their standards and guidance for calls. This took another hour. In the third hour, a practice interview task was done where each person in the group was asked to ask a question (given on the screen) to give the trainer an understanding of our voice and approach to calls. This took about an hour with about 4 questions each, a break then followed before a final presentation session where they answered common questions.
The next day, I heard back that I was successful, however declined the opportunity due the issues discussed in the last hour of the day in which they revealed shift patterns and how shifts worked; my issue being that it is unlikely to be able to work multiple shifts each day, with no confirmation of whether shifts may even be available. (Shifts are only 4 hours long, hence my desire to work multiple shifts in a day)
