Consisted of a screener with HR, two separate interviews with team members, an interview with the direct manager, and an interview with the head of the unit. The process itself was friendly and pleasant. I really enjoyed speaking to everybody I met with.
Things went south when they told me they were preparing an offer but the position had a pay range that was lower than the range I provided in the very first screening interview. I politely declined to continue in the process and thanked them for their time. To this day I am taken aback by the fact that I never received a reply. It also left me feeling a bit burned that a company would put me through several hours of interviews knowing full well that they were unwilling to meet my pay requirements. If HR is reading this, please have more respect for your candidates and their time. We are people with busy lives too.
