I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at KFC in Jul 2013
Interview
1) First step was to go online and fill in their application form; this was just stuff about you, what hours you could work, etc. No resume was required.
2) I got an email a few minutes after submitting the application asking me to attend an interview in five days time.
3) I went to the interview! It was my first ever job interview, so I arrived ten minutes early and sat in the car with my mum for five, then went inside and immediately ducked into the toilets for all of twenty seconds.
4) When I EVENTUALLY went to the front counter, I told the girl there that I had an interview and it turned out the manager was right behind her, so I was told to wait a few minutes whilst he got stuff ready.
5) I was given a form to fill in (a lot like the online one) which only took a few minutes, then was interviewed. The manager was really nice and friendly, it wasn't too formal or anything. He asked me a whole lot of questions and just jotted down a few answers.
We were just sitting in a booth, it was very laid back and not too stressful. He asked questions such as,
"Tell me a bit about yourself?"
"What would you say to me if I were a customer and you were about to serve me?"
"Have you ever seen someone do something dishonest? How did you react?"
"Tell me about a stressful situation you underwent and how did you handle it?"
At the end he asked if I had any questions, then said that he'd just double check all of my answers but that everything looked pretty good and that he'd get back to me in a day or two.
Online interview and over the phone. Asked about my availability and why KFC should hire me. Conversation went for about 7 minutes. Very easy process and was immediately recruited for the job.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at KFC (Sans Souci) in Mar 2024
Interview
I felt welcomed and the interview went so well. The manager asked me few questions about my previous employment and some questions about my skills. I left the store feeling positive.
