Terribly conducted interview process, completely unorganized.
It was a pool campus interview, conducted at RVCE campus. First, the recruiting team arrives an hour late. Goes on with a 90 min long PPT, then conducts an Online Test.
The online test was conducted on a portal called merittracpariksha. Had Server issues, twice in the duration of 1 hour. Questions were fairly easy.
Out of around 130 students, 70 cleared the test. But the company decided, to waste time of all the candidates and conduct personal interviews for all of them, instead of further shortlisting by a Group Discussion. The interviews were conducted in a random order, so by the time I had my first interview, it was 7:40 PM, (PPT was at 9:00 AM).
After a small, fairly easy interview, where I answered most technical questions, I was shortlisted for the second round.
I waited until 9:20 PM for my second round, and once the interview was done I was shortlisted for HR interview.
I didn't make it through the HR interview, probably because I am not good at sugarcoating stuff and spoke quite frankly. Don't blame the HR for rejecting me, nor do I blame myself, it was a long, unproductive day and I was quite frustrated with all the waiting.
KPMG needs to improve its Hiring Process. The Interviews were good, but the process was not managed well. Doesn't suit your status as one of the Big 4.
This interview was for an Engineering role at KPMG GDC, Bengaluru
