I have been working at KPMG full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The variety of engagements, clients and roles is stimulating and challenging. The training is to an excellent standard and the general culture is relaxed while encouraging progression.

    Cons

Occasionally the workload can be heavy leading to long hours but this has to be expected. The salary increases past graduate level do not keep up with equivalent level positions in industry.

    Advice to Management

General graduate development is excellent and responsibility and exposure to clients is set a reasonable level. However the rigidity of progression and the reduction of benefits over the past few years may impact the retention rate of graduates.

I have been working at KPMG full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I have been with KPMG for 7 months and already I feel supported and have been made aware of my options for career progression.

As well as a line manager, you are assigned a performance manager which means you have access to a wealth of knowledge and experience to help you grow as an employee.

The pay and benefits are good with pay rises and potential promotions discussed yearly. This really is the type of company you can work with from the beginning to end of your career.

The work can be hard, and you can work long hours but it is worth it. The team spirit is alive and the Partner group take your well being seriously.

    Cons

Canteens are expensive (but you get a lunch allowance).

    Expect a lot of travel.

Work life balance and salary not sustainable.

    Advice to Management

Resource more effectively for longer term commitment from staff.
