The interview was very long, (2 hours in total) they require you to attend a first interview with an exam (they state that it is ks2 easy exam) but it is actually very rigorous and 11+ question based. Even if you’re successful at the interview if you don’t get a perfect score they do not offer you an opportunity to continue with the interview process.
In my case I wasn’t familiar with the questions and did not expect to be tested on my knowledge even though I have multiple degrees and a vast teaching experience. No other teaching role with require you to complete an standardised exam and base the hiring process on that. I was informed I’d be told a day or two after the interview but because I wasn’t successful it was crickets from them.
Instead of familiarising and training staff about the curriculum of their tutoring agencies they expect you to come already prepared which I find disappointing and an outdated approach to hiring. Overall, unless you are extremely familiar with grammar schools and their tests don’t bother going to the interview.
