I was asked to interview at K-Force's office in downtown Chicago after being in touch with a recruiter from there for a while. I had interviewed with recruiters at other staffing agencies in the past, but this interview was entirely different... in a good way. The recruiter, Danielle Fisher, knew that I had been in the job hunt for a while. It turned into a 45 minute interview offering me invaluable advice on how I could improve my career prospects. We dissected my resume, and she really wanted to know what exactly I was looking for in a position. It was really surprising how personable and conversational the interview was. I could tell Danielle genuinely wanted to help ME the individual. Obviously, K-Force is a staffing agency, but I didn't sense any ulterior motives in that room at all. To me, that was neat.
