Had a preliminary chat with their recruiter.
Then was sent a weird, very specific coding challenge - I was meant to write a code to calculate some number (imagine a question like "how many different positions on a chess board can a knight get to in X moves?")
Didn't have a lot of time to spend on it. I coded something, had basic tests etc., and sent it in.
Got a reply from the recruiter saying that the number I submitted wasn't "quite right", and if I wanted to try again.
No thank you, I already gave you enough free work.
And who the hell cares if the number is correct or not? Aren't you evaluating me based on my work process?
Was told that the engineering manager "agreed" to have a look at it (thank you very much, what an honour!)
And was promptly ghosted.
Good riddance.
My only regret is that I didn't read the other reviews on here, and saved myself 2 hours.
