I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Kohl's (Frankfort, IL) in Feb 2012
Interview
It was a group interview where there was a round table of questions asked. Management asked some basic questions on customer satisfaction and made you watch some videos of how to go about helping customers out. He also glossed over the systems used in the store.

Question 1
How would you go about helping a customer that looks lost?
About 20 minutes , basic questions about teamwork and customer service. Had the interview and they called a few minutes later to offer me the job. The interviewer was very nice and made me feel calm
It was painless and super easy and I'm just putting in this information so I can view the average salaries of a company because I can't use Glassdoor unless I do this.
It was over the phone and very straight forward. I spoke with the current 02 (Assistant Store Manager) at the time and it focused on previous experiences in teams. Afterward, I received an email to complete the onboarding process online, filling out paperwork.
