I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kohl's (Vancouver, WA) in Aug 2014
Interview
It was a group interview. It was fairly short and not intimidating. The process wasn't long. The hiring manager as well as an assistant manager were present. Make sure to look up the companies values before going to the interview. Customer service is huge for them, so make sure to emphasize that (the customer is always right). They don't ask many questions. You should prepare a question or two in advance, as I was the only one in my group who did have a question and I believe this helped me stand out and recieve a job offer. Try to answer first or second, but never last.
About 20 minutes , basic questions about teamwork and customer service. Had the interview and they called a few minutes later to offer me the job. The interviewer was very nice and made me feel calm
It was painless and super easy and I'm just putting in this information so I can view the average salaries of a company because I can't use Glassdoor unless I do this.
It was over the phone and very straight forward. I spoke with the current 02 (Assistant Store Manager) at the time and it focused on previous experiences in teams. Afterward, I received an email to complete the onboarding process online, filling out paperwork.
