I applied online. I interviewed at Lead Forensics in Oct 2025
Interview
Unethical and possibly illegal interview tactics.
First interview with the recruiter: My suspicions were raised from the very first video call when they insisted I tell them my current salary. I declined and provided a range. A few days later, I received a call informing me I'd moved on to the next stage of the process. However, other managers wanted to know my exact current salary before I could proceed, citing higher turnover among employees earning more than what Lead Forensics offers. Despite explaining that their advertised offer was sufficient, she still insisted I give a figure before moving forward.
The second interview with the head of Customer Success was strange. They asked me to prepare a slide presentation beforehand, explaining the reasons and concepts of Customer Success. There was no explanation or discussion before or after this presentation. Then, he began to excessively pry into personal matters unrelated to the job.
With the vague salary details in the job posting and the requirement to disclose my current salary to advance to the second round, it clearly revealed what kind of company this is. The second interview confirmed this perception.

Question 1
What is the definition of Customer Success? What makes a great Customer Success Manager? Why would you be a great Customer Success Manager at Lead Forensics? Which of our company DNA’s is your favourite and why?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Lead Forensics (Scottsdale, AZ) in Sept 2024
Interview
I Went through the complete interview process, and it was great. The Recruiter and the executives that I spoke with were very transparent throughout the entire process. They were upfront with the steps and very communicative with the needs of the company.

Question 1
The questions were very simple, and you had to put together a simple presentation describing a few different questions as well as tying in the companies DNA.
