Interview
The interview process overall was quite easy, but I didn't really feel like it tested my full abilities/was really well thought out. I had to add extra pieces into the case study stage to actually exhibit a well-rounded viewpoint of my skills. Nevertheless, it was quite streamlined and fast-moving until it got to final stages. Then they made me take an extremely odd psychometric test, which had absolutely no foundation on testing me anything relevant about my role/function. I've never experienced this in all my experience interviewing for start-ups - why integrate some weird kind of corporate astrology into an interview process as standard? Furthermore, the co-founder I met was came off an extremely arrogant and quite dislikable. We were supposed to be talking about culture & values and the only takeaways I have from the conversation is that he'd like everyone to come into the office 5 days a week and that he has no idea how to conduct an interview that doesn't consist of pseudo intellectual filler questions. Wasn't upset that we didn't move to offer as I didn't feel the synergy in culture.
