Did a video interview and never heard back - a courtesy reply to my follow ups would have been nice. What is wrong with companies ? It's not that hard to reply back to a candidate you meet and interview with?

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Live Oak IT Partners (Houston, TX) in Sept 2023
Interview
Applied and got asked to do a video interview. I thought the interview went well. I interviews with Mike and Justin. I was told by Mike that I would here from him that day (9/15/23) I didn't even get so much as a rejection email. Very disappointed I didn't even get the common curiosity of a email.
