      Manyfacturing Leadership Interview

      Application

I interviewed at Lonza (Hayward, CA)

      Interview

Lonza followed the standard routine: first contacted by recruiter who did phone screen, then hiring manager, and then moved forward to interview with a panel of employees (via zoom). Several of the interviewers hadn’t taken the time to read my resume ahead of time, which was very off-putting. I invested time and energy researching their company and re-writing my resume to showcase the skills they were looking for that I have. I spent time preparing for my interview so I’d have thoughtful answers to their questions. The least they can do is read through my resume before they sit down to interview me. Is that asking too much? Interviews go both ways. Not only were they looking to see if I was the right fit for their role, but I was looking at them to see if this is a place I want to work. The icing on the cake was my last interviewer (a manager!) who actually answered her phone in the middle of my interview. She apologized for doing it, but seriously?! Who does that? Then I never heard back from them. They just ghosted me and I didn’t bother to follow up because frankly, who wants to work for a company like that?
