Interview
I was excited to interview for a Head of Growth position, but the process ended as soon as I opened the interview platform. The software required full access to record my entire computer screen and monitored my hands throughout the recording, even flashing a warning if they moved out of frame. It also didn't allow you to read the question off camera, and didn't allow you to read the question to yourself out loud if you wanted. (I assume so you can't use voice to read it to AI.) This leads to a really awkward 5-10 seconds where you're recording yourself on video, reading something silently before you're supposed to answer.
I understand that one-way video interviews have become a part of hiring. However, this level of surveillance felt disrespectful and left a horrible first impression. I've never experienced anything like it.
I withdrew my application immediately. Transparency and trust should go both ways in the hiring process, and this experience signaled a clear lack of both.
If you're that worried about applicants using AI to game the interview system, here's a thought: have an actual person interview them in real time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe your experience with certain platforms, etc.
Great, friendly interview, questioned experience and asked for proof of results. Various cognitive behavioural tests. Asked for examples of turning a negative experience into a positive for client, examples of overcoming objections

Interview
I was interviewed by a technical director and the boss. They asked about my backgrounds and reasons why I want to joint them. Then they asked me about the skills I have for the front-end development. It seems they want a profession full-time engineer that could write up all the codes for them instead of an intern.
