I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Malwarebytes (Cork) in Sept 2016
Interview
Good day,
I was referred by an employee for an opened role in a customer support. Had a phone interview, video and in person interview where I was asked the same questions over and over again. I don't mind answering the same questions to 3 different people, but I don't understand why is the process so silly. No need to waste candidates time for repetitive questions. All other inteviews I had with other companies in the same branch were different and better structured so I was surprised to see that I am simply answering same questions but to different people. It feelt like there is no proper communication internally, but hey, who am I to say anything, I am not a recruiter. Still with all that being said, I was able to deal with everything above, those are minor mistakes that can be polished easily if they want to. However, after my last interview which was on the 16th of September-Moday, where I was informed I will know the decision by Friday of the same week,I was left "hangging" for almost a month. I emailed the recruiter 2 times and asked for an update, as in my mind if I wasn't sucessfull with the application, they will at least let me know so I can move on. NOPE. She simply stated she will update me whenever she has some info, then procided to go on a vacation. In the mean time , during my "waiting period" they reopened the process for the same role with a new bach of candidates and still for some reason didn't want to update me and probably all other candidates from the initial process that passed to the final stage.
Fast forward, after a month I get an email where I was asked to let them know when can they call me for a "catch up". Finnaly we manage to arrange it and it and she tells me I didn't get the job and this is a feedback call.
At this point I am at least happy to know the decision and get some valuable feedback so I can work on that and improve. But NO, the feedback I got was. " We feel like you are overqualified and belive the role wouldn't be challenging for you"
No need to explain further. Please stop waisting candidates time as everyones time is valuable and at least give us proper feedback so we can learn from our mistakes.
Good luck in the future.
