Applied for the job online after I was referred by a former co-worker. Meet with Director and his QA Managers. Director was nice along and two out of his three managers were also. One manager (the oldest one of the three) had a sour puss look on her face the whole time as if I smelled of Skunk funk. She started off in a bad tone asking me right off the bat in a passive aggressive tone why did I want to work there. She even seemed to have an issue with me receiving a degree in MIS. She stayed glued on my resume the whole time with her hand on the side of her face in the classic “Im bored” body language position. Not many questions were asked as I had a background in Software QA and not the auditing type QA background they were seeking I guess. I also knew the interview was going bad and that I had no chance at the job when I saw the hiring manager (the Director) trying to hide smirking while pretending to be looking down at a sheet of paper. I then looked to my right and the manager who was sitting next to me was staring right at me. So who knows what they were communicating. The Director also stressed they were really was seeking someone to ‘fit’ in with the group. I guess I didn’t’ ‘fit’ in as I received a call a few days later stating via voicemail another candidate came in and ‘blew them all away’ with her experience and background. I know I wasn’t exactly a fit for the job (even though it only required a HS diploma) but I still felt disappointed after the interview due to the negative tone given off by one of the interviewers.
