The process for the most part was pretty standard. I applied on LinkedIn and received both an email and a message asking on LinkedIn asking for my availability to meet with the HR rep. We chatted and it was a standard phone screen where she laid out the process and timing. From there I was set up with a video interview where I met with the hiring manager and her manager. It went well and they set me up for the final round which was a case study. This is where it went downhill, the recruiter didn’t sent me the details in an actual meeting invite so the time zone conversion got messed up. It was 2 PM ET and I thought it was CT. They called me asking why I hadn’t joined the virtual meeting and I explained the mixup but I was almost home with groceries and in Texas heat I couldn’t just leave them in my car to spoil. The HR rep stated she’d call or email me after she spoke with the hiring manager. They said they were no longer pursuing me as a candidate and wouldn’t reschedule the interview. It was really frustrating after I already invested a significant amount of time. But in hindsight, I wouldn’t want to work for people who were that rigid anyway! Make sending interviews with details as a meeting invite standard practice!!!

What is your level of comfort with developing process documents?
The interview process took over a month to complete. I filled out the application online, and about three weeks later, I was contacted by someone from Human Resources. We discussed the position and some of the high-level details. Then another two weeks passed before they reached out again to set up the first interview. The second interview was with three of directors from different programs that I would be working with, and the final interview was with the managing director of the Federal education program.

The usual interview questions give us examples of how you would handle a stressful situation with a coworker, and how would you handle a situation with a project team member who was not completing their work. Tell us your strengths etcetera
2 seperate interview stages. Each interview with a different manager. It was fairly straight forward and I was also able to get a good insight regarding expectations and company culture.

Applied online and it took several weeks to hear back, After that, typical recruiter interview followed by hiring manager, and then a panel interview with cross-functional partners I'd work with. It took about 5 weeks.
