      Customer Success Consultant Interview

      23 May 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Manchester, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at McGraw Hill (Manchester, England)

      Interview

Initial HR interview - ask generic questions about the role and use AI to take notes. This had to be rescheduled a few times. 2nd interview with hiring manager 3rd interview - role play and presentation with questions with 2 x managers and team member 4th final round - didn’t get to this stage This was the worst interview experience. The interviews themselves were fine. It was how I was treated as a human being. I had actually applied for the same role a few years ago and after the final stage I was told ‘they no longer had the budget’ to offer the role. The 2nd time I applied they brought me back in and even apologised for my previous experience, however after my 3rd interview radio silence. So I contacted them requesting an update and they said they would update as soon as possible but another week and a half went by and nothing. I had to chase twice for an update. To then receive an automated rejection email after weeks of silence, no feedback, nothing. So disappointing but clearly a reflection of the type of company they are!
